Families arrive in Mexico City. That evening all are invited to join us for a welcome cocktail on the rooftop patio of the hotel and dinner at a local eatery.
Explore one of Mexico Cities coolest parks. Chapultepec is like Central Park in New York City and has something for everyone. Choose between the Papalote Museo del Niño (Children’s Museum) or the National Archeology Museum for a riveting day of museum culture.
We are off to explore the ancient city of Teotihuacan! The entire family will set off to visit the pyramids of this ancient Mesoamerican city located in the Valle de Mexico. In the afternoon participate in our first Spanish lesson or enjoy a stroll around Reforma and dinner at your leisure.
This is where the food fun begins! EAT MEXICO’s guides will introduce us to food in the city center with a stop to taste local fare at San Juan Market and one of the city’s sweetest candy stops for the kids. Sweet! In the evening, leave the kiddos to us while EAT MEXICO treats you to a 5-star tasting dinner at Pujol, noted as one of the best restaurants in the world.
Get ready for a day of machete wielding adventure! On our day trip to Milpa Alta we will cut our own nopales (cactus plants) and learn to make home made tortillas. In the afternoon parents are free to explore while kids participate in a Spanish lesson and Market Scavenger hunt.
EAT MEXICO will introduce us to a new neighborhood, Cuauhtemoc, on their Street Food Tour where we will sample goodies the local way.
Today you are free to play! Is there something you didn’t get to see that we haven’t seen yet as a group? This is the day to do it your way. Why not scoop up the family and visit the Canals of Xochimilco, take in a Diego Rivera mural or two, or sign up for a Street Art Tour. So many options in a city like CDMX! In the evening, Parents are off the hook for one last night of evening fun during Parent’s Night Off to enjoy EAT MEXICO’s Late Night Tacos & Mezcal Tour. Enjoy!
Our time in Mexico City has come to an end. Travel safely friends!
