“If you are considering a family trip to Costa Rica, look no further than this. You will sample many of the diverse regions of the country in a unique and personal way, with the best tour guide imaginable! We went as a family – my husband, 7 year old son, and me – and we weren’t sure what to expect, having never given over the planning of a vacation to anyone else. We don’t consider ourselves “tour” people; when we travel we want to immerse ourselves in the local culture and have an authentic experience. Rebecca’s tour provided exactly that, with the assurance that you’re traveling with someone who knows and loves the country deeply. There were well-planned activities to suit everyone, in addition to relaxation time and time to be together just as a family. We all got along as a group very well, and the kids became instant best pals. They encouraged each other to try new things, and the best part is that my son seemed to lose his inhibitions about speaking Spanish and continues to use it when we’re out and about today!
In Rebecca you have a guide who not only knows Costa Rica intimately and loves travel in general, you have someone who works with children on a daily basis, meets them where they are, and creates an atmosphere of respect, fun, and caring that sets the tone for the entire trip. I can’t imagine a more authentic way to experience Costa Rica than with FamilyGo. Not only do they know all the best places to visit, or stop for food, culture, and souvenirs, but Rebecca’s enthusiasm and relaxed spirit is infectious. She is the embodiment of Pura Vida, and now I can’t imagine ever visiting Costa Rica WITHOUT her!”

“In Costa Rica I loved the pools and the hotels. That was my best part. It was fun to be with my friends at the beach too. The food was really really good.”

“Exploring a new country, going off the beaten track and finding the country that the locals actually live in is always a challenge. Doing it with children in tow is something we wouldn’t attempt. Traveling with Rebecca made that possible. Every day we got at least a taste of Costa Rica as the people who stay there live it. We also got the best of the tourist spots from stunning pools and beaches and hot spring water parks to gondolas through the rain-forest canopy. Our kids have been learning Spanish. Until this trip I don’t think they understood what a great tool and opportunity another language could be for them. Rebecca took such great care of all of us. She was always looking to tailor the trip to the changing moods and energy of the group. Anything we needed help with she was working to make us have a better vacation. We had a day of rain that made going to the beach impossible. She arranged massages at a spa for the adults and not only kept the kids occupied but they got the opportunity to learn how to do aerial silks gymnastics. Costa Rica is an amazing place with great food, beautiful scenery and wildlife (who doesn’t want to have a family of sloths climb into your restaurant to make going out to dinner into an amazing story your kids will remember for the rest of their lives?) and all the things that make travel worthwhile. Traveling with Rebecca gives all of that to you without the stress and effort you need to try and make the most of your time in a foreign land. You really get the best of having your own family vacation and also being hosted by close friends who live there.”

“My favorite part of Spain was playing soccer with the kids at the park. I also liked when we went to he beach and to see the Flamenco and they danced.”

“Traveling abroad is my passion and I try to pass on this on to my daughter. I’ve always been a backpacker and have traveled extensively throughout South America, South East Asia, Europe and Africa. However, when we decided to travel to Costa Rica as a family with our seven year old daughter we wanted a unique experience for her and for us. I have never traveled on a group tour but whe FamilyGo Global presented us with the itinerary I was sold. I wanted a relaxed but exciting experience for our family but I didn’t want to have to work so hard to put it together myself. Rebecca and FamilyGo offered us one of the most unique, amazing, and exciting Costa Rican experiences out there. Being in a group with other children that my daughter could have fun with was a huge plus. We helped each other with our kids and had a great group to socialize with during activities. The visits to various locations in Costa Rica where perfect and enough to leave us satisfied but wanting to come back for more. Rebecca was very thoughtful with planning kid-friendly activities and also honored our desire to spend time together alone as a couple. We felt comfortable having our daughter join her children group activities while we enjoyed a date night alone. Throughout the trip the children were engaged in various hands-on activities while also being immersed in the language. My daughter felt so comfortable speaking Spanish with other children in the group, ordering her own meals and even shopping around town. This was a rich Spanish language experience we could never offer her at home. The tour was a great way to see this beautiful country and get a rich cultural exposure for both adults and children. We look forward to going back to Costa Rica and will only do it with the best tour operator I know, FamilyGo Global.”

“This summer, my two boys (Dane 8 and Luke 6 y.o.) and I participated in the Family Go Global program by going to Madrid and Granada, Spain for touring and Spanish language lessons. We spent 4 days in Madrid and about a week and a half in Granada, while also visiting the Southern coast for 2 days. Madrid is an unbelievably beautiful city and I was so glad we got to see the capital of the Spanish speaking world. Granada is one of the oldest and most unique places in Spain and we covered a ton of sites while spending 4 hours a day in class. Our classes were wonderful, the teachers were great and we even got to know a few of them on a personal basis. The coast was wonderful too, and the water was perfectly warm! The program was easy to sign up for, we paid our basic fees up front and everything was handled for us along the way. We got our own, private family apartment with kitchen at each leg of the trip. Several things come to mind when I think back on that amazing journey. First of all, Rebecca does all the legwork in terms of where to go and what to do, while at the same time allowing us ample family time to explore and have private adventures. Also, there were several nights where our children had babysitters so we could have adult night on the town! (HUGE BONUS!!) We had all ages from 5-80 years old and everyone was able to be comfortable and participate in all aspects of the trip, including some good walks. I would say this is kind of a hybrid tour, where there is real touring by bus with guides, as well as plenty of free time for being, well, free of the group to just enjoy Spain with my sons. The entire trip was professionally done from start to finish and we never felt unattended or “out in the cold”. The reason we took the trip was to get acquainted with Spain without having to figure it all out ourselves. This trip was a perfect segway into future trips to Spain. The people were all great, fun loving and easy going and we had a blast. I cannot imagine the amount of money and time we would have had to spend to do this trip on our own. Rebecca is a wonderful, caring, thoughtful, open minded, adventure seeking, all around happy, joyful person, a person I would say is “irreplaceable” and easily the best tour conductor I have ever been acquainted with. Thank you Rebecca for everything you did for us, all of your love and attention. I would recommend Family Go Global to anyone who wants to travel, learn and explore while actually learning the language and getting to know locals but without all of the difficulties associated with traveling.”
P.S. My boys loved getting up and going to the little cafe and ordering the same thing every day, toasted croissant with Nutella and a drink of Orangina (unhealthy but its vacation!). We developed a relationship with the 2 guys that work there, Danny and Pepe. “Daddy, I want to go see Danny and Pepe,” they would say. We still talk about them today!
“Before I got pregnant with my first, I promised myself that I would give my kids the gift of Spanish. As an expecting mom 12 years ago, I read all the articles and knew my kids’ brains would develop more fully knowing Spanish, as well as having open doors to the vast cultures of Spanish speaking people. Time gets away from us though. I would try to squeeze it, but my kids are kids were always reluctant to watching Sesame Street in Spanish and me butchering bedtime books in Espanol. So the idea of an immersion vacation seemed to be the perfect answer to the nagging question of how the heck do I get them REALLY exposed to Spanish. I had read about other family trips but the idea of taking my kids to Target gives me anxiety, I wasn’t sure how I was going to fare on the other side of the globe with three, loud, active, spirited ninjas. This is where Family Go Global swooped in and did their magic. I basically had to show up and have everyone dressed and Ms. Rebecca did the rest. She made all the kids’ instructors and restaurants aware of my boys severe food allergies. I felt safe and supported during our entire trip. I went to Spain with a village. My kids got to be kids all the while being immersed in Spanish while I got to be an adult and visit museums and take my own Spanish classes. Family Go Global does all the hard lifting (literally!) I just showed up with my ragamuffins, had fun, and spoke in Espanol.”
